1. What is Personal Accident Insurance? 

Personal Accident Insurance provides compensation to you in the event of bodily injuries, disablement, death or inconvenience caused solely and directly by a sudden, unforeseen and fortuitous event that happens unexpectedly in Malaysia only.

2. Who is the insurance provider for Personal Accident Insurance? 

This product is underwritten by Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad (“Zurich”), and distributed by Zurich's appointed insurance agent, SeaInsure Agency Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (“SeaInsure”) via the Shopee online platform.

Basic / Gold Personal Accident

  • Child’s benefit is 50% of adult’s benefit sum insured only.
  • Child refers to an insured person who is thirty (30) days old to seventeen (17) years old (Age of next birthday).
 
4. Can I cancel my policy? 

Please note that once the policy is successfully issued, it is non-cancellable and non-refundable. Your coverage will expire on the last date of the coverage period.
 
5. What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact/personal details? 

Kindly inform Zurich of any changes in your contact details/life profile including nomination, occupation and personal pursuits which would affect your risk profile. Please reach out to Zurich’s customer service at 1-300-888-622 (Call Centre) or callcentre@zurich.com.my (E-mail).
 
6. What is the insurance coverage period? 

Free Personal Accident

The coverage period is for 30 days . 


Basic / Gold Personal Accident

The coverage period is for 1 year.

 
7. Can the Free Personal Accident coverage period overlap with the Basic/Gold Personal Accident coverage period?

Yes and the sum insured for both plans can be combined during the coverage periods of both plans.
 
For example, if you redeem the Free Personal Accident and purchase a Basic Personal Accident on the same day, both plans will start on the same effective date.
